As part of its long-term strategy, the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava provides opportunities for young musicians to perform, including concert repertoire accompanied by the orchestra. The selection of performers takes place periodically in the form of a performance competition open to performers/soloists aged between 15 and 26 who submit a fully completed electronic application form by 9th November 2025. Participation is limited to those who have not performed in the previous two JPO concert seasons.

For the upcoming year, the competition is announced in the field of wind instruments and singing.
