Ondřej G. Brzobohatý is not only a musician, but also a composer, lyricist, arranger, and actor. He fell in love with music thanks to film scores, which he always wanted to pursue as a career. Because it was not possible to study this particular specialization at Czech universities and he was not confident enough to try his luck abroad, he decided to study film scores in his own way. On the internet, with friends and wherever possible in archives he was looking for sheet music with film scores and any time he managed to find one, he spent long hours reading them and listening to the soundtracks. At the conservatory, Ondřej G. Brzobohatý discovered funk and soul. He fell in love with bands such as Tower of Power, Kool and the Gang or Incognito. Afroamerican music influenced him already during his childhood, when he used to listen to his father’s records of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, or Louis Armstrong. Together with Ondřej Brousek and JPO, he shone at a concert at Gong called The Melodies of The Silver Screen in October 2015. However, this time he is going to perform his own work.
