In collaboration with multi-genre singer Gabriela Vermelho, leading Czech flautist Jan Kvapil, the Permoník Concert Choir and JFO, he will perform pieces from the famous 1994 album Adiemus – Songs of Sanctuary by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. The fusion of classical music with Celtic music and African world music promises a captivating and unique experience.
Jenkins’ work will be preceded by Song of the Universal for choir, piano and strings by contemporary Norwegian composer Oly Gjeil. The composer’s powerful setting of American poet Walt Whitman’s text expresses optimism and an unshakable trust in our deep humanity.
