They belong to our best-known musical groups, they are holders of Anděl awards. They are characterized by distinctive melodies and poetic texts. They continue with folk, country and blues, reap success at concerts and festivals, and now the group Jelen will perform together for the first time on the same stage with JPO.

During the ten years of its existence, the band Jelen has become one of the most famous names in the Czech popular music scene. The band won the Anděl Award in the Discovery of the Year category in 2014 and the Anděl Award in the Group of the Year category in 2016. In today’s over-technicalised era, its music returns to its acoustic roots and draws on folk, country, bluegrass and blues. The group around frontman Jindra Polák impresses on stage with their energetic and musically mature expression. The band’s own songwriting, with its distinctive melodies and poetic lyrics, has been a success not only across the Czech airwaves but also at concerts and music festivals. Jelen has already released six studio albums with hits such as Magdaléna, Tančíme spolu or Zůstaň ještě jednu noc from their latest album Věci a sny. The success of the second of these songs was also contributed to by the popular Czech singer-songwriter, poet and lyricist Kateřina Marie Tichá, who, in addition to being a member of Jelen, currently plays and performs with the North Moravian band Bandjeez.
