Charismatic singer, drummer, a longtime frontman of the band Lucie and the author of a number of hits, David Koller has been a constant among the stars of Czech music for a long time. His time with the band Lucie has been a productive and successful period. He produced three solo records, he formed a band Pusa with Lenka Dusilová, and he experimented with heavier music in a group Kollerband. His first singing experience was in the choir Bambini di Praga and he picked up drums because the drum set they had at home had been abandoned after his brother left for military service. The first significant band where David Koller played drums was Jasná páka in 1980, with whom he first sang the famous Majolenka. In Ostrava’s Gong, he will present a selection of his works with the Janáček Philharmonic.
