We concluded the Anima Mundi festival in Pisa with a sold-out concert
The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno, and soloists together ceremoniously concluded the Anima Mundi International Festival of Sacred Music in Pisa, Italy, on Friday, September 27.
The sold-out concert featured in the first part Bohuslav Martinů’s The Mountain of the Three Lights performed by the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno, followed by the famous Glagolitic Mass by Leoš Janáček in the second part, interpreted by the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava under the baton of conductor Gábor Káli.
One of the Czech audience members living in Italy wrote to us:
“Thank you, thank you, thank you! It was phenomenal. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hearing two Czech compositions in one of the most famous Christian cathedrals, performed by a Czech orchestra and choir before a sold-out audience, was an unforgettable experience.”
